What is the difference between the Photo Call images and the Action Shots?
The Photo Call images are taken before the concert begins. Dancers are asked to show up early on a performance night and the photos are posed by the choreographer of the dance. Typically, all action is stopped, and dancers stand still for the photos.
The Action Shots are taken during an actual performance. There is no stopping to pose for the camera. This often results in some really nice motion blur shots that really give you a sense of the energy that the dancers possess.
