I’m back. It’s been over a month since my last post. I don’t like to let that happen, but life is busy. Looking forward to the summer and spending more time outside.

This family is pretty awesome if you ask me. I love the last photo. I come from a big family. I can relate to the older brother headlock thing. Happened a lot in my family growing up. Good times and good memories.

This photoshoot goes down in the record books for coldest-shoot-ever. It was 17 degrees F. That night it dropped to -12F. Needless to say, we didn’t spend a lot of time out. I wish we could have been able to spent more time, but I absolutely love the photos that we got.

These were taken in Huntington, UT. I am in Emery and Carbon counties several times a year. If you live there and are interested in doing a photo session, let me know, I’m sure we can arrange something.

They thought having a picture of just them without the kids felt weird, but I made them do it anyway and they laughed:) I asked them if it felt like an engagement photo. Cam, age 4, personally picked the picture of himself roaring like a lion for their Christmas card. I thought that was awesome.

My own little guy. I take a lot of pictures of my kids, mostly just candid every day type stuff. I realized I didn’t have a picture of Trey that held up to my hang-on-the-wall standards, so we did this little photoshoot. Total time taken was just over ten minutes. So what is my excuse for not doing more of these mini shoots? Not sure. I guess getting kids ready is 90% of the battle and sometimes that is a pretty daunting task. As a parent, these images are absolutely priceless to me. Totally worth all the effort.

The Ellsworth family found this awesome location in Enoch. We were going to head up Cedar canyon. I am glad we didn’t. The timing for this spot couldn’t have been better. The colors and tones of the grass and fall leaves are perfect.

Monica and I went to high school together. More specifically we had high school physics together and she was always my lab partner. Pretty sure I contributed to her passing that class. Don’t worry, it’s never too late to thank me Monica:) So we have both lived in Cedar for quite a while and this town really isn’t that big. You are bound to run into people sooner or later. I saw Monica a few times, but figured she wouldn’t really remember me. I even attempted to say hi once. She will give you a different story. Her version of the story goes like this. She saw me at some town event, tried to get my attention, even walked toward me telling her husband “there’s Parker, we were friends in high school.” And I promptly turned around and walked away. Now, I don’t recall that event, but Monica gave me lots of crap for it.

When she was looking for a photographer in town, she was pleasantly surprised to come across my website. She emailed me which started something like “you probably don’t remember me, but…” and then chewed me out for that time I totally blew her off. Monica, you are awesome. Thanks for not holding that incident against me.
