My boys and I like to go watch planes land at the airport. We were out there the other day and as the sun started to set, the sky became very colorful. The best camera is the one that is with you. In this case, it was my iPhone. As I was admiring the beautiful sunset, I noticed a little pond about 50 yards away from me. Anytime you see water and sunset, think reflection. I ran over there and snapped these.
Under most circumstances, I hate submitting photos to any kind of contest. A couple of people suggested I submit one to KSL. I don’t like doing that sort of thing because when you do that, you essentially give them an all access pass to use the photo however they like. In other words, you grant them full copyright ownership! They can print your picture wherever they like, use it however they like. But, what the heck. In exchange for giving up my rights to the first photo below, I might have a chance to win a night stay in a nice hotel. Worth it? Probably not, but I did it anyway. It showed up on the news that same day.
Okay, enough ranting. But just one more gloat. These were taken with my phone people! The camera that is always in my pocket. Yeah, that is pretty cool. One person asked me if I did some post processing to make the colors so vibrant. No, I did not. This is straight out of the camera.
