• Welcome to my blog!

I love photography! Pretty cliché I know. There is just so much to learn and explore. So many things to try. But the main reason I love photography is this "Photography is about savoring life at 1/100th of a second." - Marc Riboud

I am a portrait and wedding photographer based in Cedar City Utah. I also love landscape photography, but every great landscape I encounter, I can't help but think how much better the shot would be if I stuck a person in it.

Graduation Card

This is a follow up to the senior portraits I posted yesterday. The senior, McKay, gave me an idea of what he wanted to do for his graduation card. He showed me a design he liked and I adapted it for him and threw in my own tweaks and style to it. This kid is graduating with his Associate’s degree from SUU at the same time he graduates from high school. I wish I could have done that.

Here is the front of his graduation card.

This is the inside of the card. They wanted it to be simple.

The pictures look great. And I have to say that it is insanely irritating that I didn’t know about concurrent courses when I was in High School. These smarty pants are graduating with their Associates at the same time they’re graduating HS. I thought I was brilliant for AP courses . . . sheesh.

    Parker,
Sherry and I love your work. That is neat that McKay has done so well. For severall years the kids at Ssan Juan High School have been able to graduate with both. When I went to Utah State after graduating from San Juan High back in 1957, I was going in to Engineering, and even had an academic scholarship. Lo and behold, I hadn’t had any Geometry, Chemistry, or sufficient Math. Yes, it is great what is available now.
