On a long bumpy road to seemingly nowhere, you will find Sid & Charlie, The Broken Hearted Man, and plants that resemble alien life forms. Sid & Charlie is the name of the rock formation in several of the photos. It is pretty well recognized in Emery County. They really are two separate rocks, separated by just inches in some spots. It is such an interesting formation. There is literally nothing around it. Just beyond Sid & Charlie the road ends and that is where Short Canyon begins. There is a lot of rock art in that canyon. Most notably a figure dubbed “The Broken Hearted Man” (second to last image above). He appears to have a heart that has cracked and has tears running down his face. Here is another view.

I love the perspectives. I think the 1st Broken Hearted man picture should be hung in the Court House.
